Mosman Semi-Detached Dwelling
Nestled within the Holt Estate Conservation Area, this once-dilapidated home has been thoughtfully transformed into a light-filled residence that celebrates both its past and future.
The front of the house was carefully restored, with period features reinstated to revive its original charm. At the rear, a poorly built lean-to was replaced with a contemporary open-plan living space that connects effortlessly to the garden. A sculptural arched glass door marks the transition between old and new, while a raked skillion roof above the living room draws in light and volume.
Upstairs, a discreet new addition houses a master suite and balcony, designed to sit respectfully behind the original roofline. Polished concrete, custom joinery, and refined detailing introduce a modern sensibility without overpowering the heritage character.
The result is a home that meets conservation controls while offering comfort, function, and beauty for a growing family—a collaborative effort grounded in care and creativity.
