With sweeping views to Middle Head, the intention of the project was to design a warm and functional family home that would fittingly frame the picturesque views that it enjoys. This was achieved by creating bright open-plan zones, connected by wide central corridors that draws the views and natural light throughout the home. The addition of outdoor terraces across the rear fa├žade provide a valuable connection between the internal living spaces, the landscaped rear yard and the wider environment.

The result is a comfortable, liveable home that maximises the benefits of its location, has improved the streetscape presentation of the property and makes a positive contribution to the built environment of Mosman.

Hampton Architecture demonstrate their passion for design by creating beautiful residential developments and relaxed family friendly, practical homes that are based on strong spatial awareness and an understanding of the intrinsic relationship between architecture and interior design.

Sustainability

This project incorporated sustainable practices by adapting much of the existing fabric into the new development. The home now enjoys natural cross ventilation, solar shading from external adjustable screens and deep verandahs and its landscape is supported by extensive rain water catchment, on-site detention, and energy collected by solar panels.
