Enjoying a private landscape with tennis court, swimming pool and a sweeping mature Angophora tree, the intention of the project was to create a striking architectural structure that doubled as a comfortable family home. Seeking to improve an inconsistent façade and reconnect the home to its landscape, the project implemented a clean, sharp design of two white structures, intersected by a black panelled box set back from the façade. Behind the crisp lines of the building, resides a warm home with rich and sumptuous interior detailing.

The result of this project is a beautifully appointed and liveable home and an achievement of modern architectural design that seamlessly rests within Mosman’s urban landscape.

Hampton Architecture demonstrate their passion for design by creating beautiful residential developments and relaxed family friendly, practical homes that are based on strong spatial awareness and an understanding of the intrinsic relationship between architecture and interior design.

Sustainability

This project incorporated sustainable practices by adapting much of the existing fabric into the new development. The home enjoys deep verandahs for passive solar shading, roof-mounted solar panels, and rainwater tanks. The retention of the expansive Angophora tree provides solar shading and natural cooling for the home and tennis court.
