30 Medusa Street

ArchitectHampton Architecture

Already a family home, this project sought to hone the internal layout of the dwelling, improve its aesthetic appearance to the streetscape and further develop the connections between the internal and external spaces of the property. With the addition of architectural detailing to the front and rear fa├žades of the home, the introduction of a contemporary colour palette and streamlining the entrance to the property from Medusa Street, this project has refined the former complications of the property and has achieved a home that presents beautifully to the urban landscape and contains a sleek internal layout with luxe materials, customised joinery and selected furniture.

Hampton Architecture demonstrate their passion for design by creating beautiful residential developments and relaxed family friendly, practical homes that are based on strong spatial awareness and an understanding of the intrinsic relationship between architecture and interior design.

Sustainability

This project incorporated sustainable practices by adapting much of the existing fabric into the development and retaining timber framed glazing throughout the home. With verandahs to the front and rear and covered outside living zones, the dwelling enjoys solar shading and natural cross ventilation flows through the redesigned internal spaces.
