This new residence is located on a steep, harbour front, north facing site overlooking Middle Harbour. The site has 2 large angophora trees near the waterfront that needed to be retained.

The contemporary styled 4 bedroom home is divided into 2 pavilions. The upper section of the site has the garage and entry pavilion with a lift and stairwell. The middle section has the 3 level home with living areas above a bedroom level and a covered terrace and pool below.

Extensive north facing covered decks provide outside living areas and facilitate all-weather living. The internal courtyard separating the 2 pavilions provides natural light and ventilation into the centre of the home.

The built form is carefully articulated by the mix of materials including sandstone, rendered brickwork and stained timber cladding.

The house incorporates numerous energy efficient elements including photovoltaics, rain water harvesting, high performance glazing and extensive thermal insulation.
