25 Stanton Road

Situated on a 1700m2 block with outstanding views over Sydney Harbour, this substantial home is a combination of modern and traditional architectural principles.

To reduce the mass of the building, the house has been stepped back and built over two floors.

A combination of horizontal corbelling and perimeter planting further ground the dwelling, enhance the simple lines and rectilinear quality, and add timeless appeal.

A flat roof, wide eaves and horizontal windows act to reduce the height, while the glass cornered timber windows integrate the interior/exterior spaces creating a flow to the leafy nature of the surrounding environment.

The dwelling has been broken up into separate components, such as the tennis court, rumpus room, swimming pool, pool house and sauna, which have been dispersed over the generously proportioned site and are all linked by a central courtyard.
